Dover Street Market Paris opened in 2019 in a 17th-century building in Le Marais. Great news since after the closure of Colette Paris needed an alternative. Founded by Rei Kawakubo and @adrianjoffe, it has brought the spirit of @commedesgarconsparis to Paris.
You’ll find CDG alongside designers like @rickowensonline , @jacquemus @marineserre_official , and @thombrowne .
The store features curated spaces by labels like @junyawatanabe , Bode, ERL abd many others.
Each room feels like an installation — rough textures, sculptural details, with an ever-shifting mise en scène.

What I like a lot is that you feel welcome, totally not impressed by the avant garde pieces surrounding you.

The Musée des archives nationales is one of the most beautiful places in Paris, we are so lucky to live nearby. It’s based in the Hôtel de Soubise, surrounded by a garden and if you cross the door on the right side, you will even discover a small parc where Mathis and I love to escape from the crowd. The exhibitions are all linked to French history and the interiors simply bring you back to the 18th century.

I lived for 20 years in the 75008, in a small street I adored. Believe it or not, but moving from one quartier to another is actually quite a thing, Paris has so many « subcultures ».

It takes time to settle in Paris. And I am not talking about months, but years. One tip: always find your « brasserie d’en bas », and come back. Every single day. And then, one day, they will say « bonjour », later « bonjour ca va ?» and after a decade you will even get kissed twice on the cheeck and will not even have to order. They will know. My rendez-vous with Diane von Furstenberg in June this year impacted my life in so many ways.
Of course it’s not an option to interview a grande dame like her. You simply « drink her words » as we say in French. Sitting in the DvF suite of the @hotelamigobrussels in Brussels we discussed female empowerment & visibility, motherhood, independence, courage and so much more.
